Brand in Indiaas restaurant in de Gevers Deynootstraat

Vanmiddag is brand uitgebroken in Indiaas Specialiteiten Restaurant ‘Bombay Palace’ in de Gevers Deynootstraat.
De brand is rond kwart voor drie ontstaan. Hierop is meteen de brandweer gebeld.
Brandweereenheden van kazernes Scheveningen, Archipel en Centrum zijn ter plaatse gegaan.
Bij aankomst van de brandweer kwam er veel rook uit het pand. De brand lijkt in de keuken te zijn ontstaan en daarna in de rookafvoer te zijn geslagen.
De brand brak uit in de keuken tijdens werkzaamheden. Een aanwezig persoon wist zichzelf in veiligheid te brengen. De brandweer wist de brand snel te blussen en er hoefden geen woningen ontruimd te worden. Stichting Salvage staat de eigenaar van het pand bij in het afhandelen van de schade.
