Politie valt vier bekende winkels Soulsistah binnen: onderzoek naar criminele banden
Den Haag – De politie is dinsdagmorgen Drie Soulsistah-winkels op Scheveningen en één in de Leidschendamse Westfield Mall of the Netherlands binnengevallen voor onderzoek naar mogelijke banden met de onderwereld. De vier winkels zijn dicht.
Ook bij het witte paviljoen op de Noordboulevard op Scheveningen was vanmorgen politie aanwezig. In het grote pand zou volgende maand Soulsistah Beach open gaan. Verzegeld. In verband met strafrechtelijk onderzoek naar ondermijning’, staat er op de banner naast de verzegelde winkel in luxe kerstspulletjes in het gloednieuwe winkelcentrum Westfield Mall of the Netherlands. Ondermijning is de juridische term voor misbruik door criminelen van activiteiten in de legale ‘bovenwereld’ om zo onder meer drugsgeld wit te wassen.
Club met zwembad
De politie doet op dit moment uitgebreid onderzoek in de winkels. Ook in de vestigingen van de luxe interieurwinkels aan de Haagse Frederik Hendriklaan is het een komen en gaan van politieagenten.
Onlangs kondigde de ‘holding’ Soulsistah, een evenementen-organisatie die in april 2020 is opgericht, nog aan het enorme pand op de kop van de Noordboulevard te gaan exploiteren waar nooit een uitbater voor was gevonden. Soulsistah zou er een Ibiza-achtige club openen met zwembad, restaurants en veel loungeterrassen dat in december had moeten openen. Er is nooit enige activiteit gezien om het pand in gereedheid te brengen als club.
Volgens een politiewoordvoerder is er ‘sprake van een lopend onderzoek’.
