Grote waterlekkage bij supermarkt en woningen Tesselseplein
Duindorp – Een waterballet bij de Hoogvliet aan het Tesselseplein heeft er voor gezorgd dat de supermarkt enige tijd gesloten is voor publiek.
In de woning op de bovenste etage van het hoekpand was de waterkraan van de wasmachine gesprongen, dit bleef onopgemerkt omdat in zowel die woning als de ondergelegen woning niemand aanwezig was. Pas toen het water door het plafond van de supermarkt kwam werd de lekkage opgemerkt. Ook werd er een brandlucht geroken, waarop de brandweer werd gealarmeerd.
De brandweer trof geen brand aan, maar wel heel veel water. Inmiddels was een groot deel van het systeemplafond van de supermarkt ter hoogte van de kassa’s zo doorweekt geraakt, dat dit naar beneden kwam. De brandweer vond de oorzaak van het waterballet in de woning op de tweede etage en sloot daar het water af.
De schade in beide woningen en de supermarkt is groot. Het personeel van de supermarkt is inmiddels met man en macht bezig om de winkel weer (deels) operationeel te krijgen.
De Hoogvliet is rond kwart voor één weer gedeeltelijk open gegaan.
