tramlijn 1 weer tot leven komt
Lijn 1 in Den Haag rijdt vanaf Vandaag weer de oude route van Scheveningen naar Delft. De afgelopen maanden is hard gewerkt aan het verbeteren van deze belangrijke ov-route en het tramspoor in de stad. Vrijdag hielden medewerkers van vervoerder HTM en de gemeente nog een laatste check om te controleren of alles in orde is.
Nu de route en het spoor zijn aangepast, kunnen ook de nieuwste trams op deze route gaan rijden. De moderne, lage vloertrams zijn comfortabeler en beter toegankelijk voor kinderwagens, rolstoelen en scootmobielen. Bovendien kunnen ze ook meer reizigers vervoeren dan de oude GTL8’s. En omdat de nieuwe tramhaltes gelijkvloers zijn gemaakt, is instappen ook een stuk gemakkelijker.
